What What does it mean to be safe? And what is safety now? Psychologist Abraham Maslow identified safety as one of the foundational universal human needs, second only to physiological needs such as air, water, and food. We inherently seek safety for ourselves and those we love. But how do we successfully find safety in a pandemic world in which the people and objects around us represent infection and danger? And how can art provide opportunities for safety and security?
